Suggest Treatment For Persistent Diarrhea, Abdominal Pain And Cramps

I am a 38 year-old female. I have never had an food allergies as a child. Over the past few months I have had adverse reactions to eggs, primarily hard-boiled eggs. I get very bad stomach pains, followed by diarrhea. I don t know what could be causing this.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a food allergy.

I suggest doing allergy tests to confirm the diagnosis.

Meanwhile, I suggest using an anti-diarrhea medication such as Imodium to relieve diarrhea.

I also suggest using Buscopan to relieve the cramps.

I recommend to use daily probiotics and avoid egg consumption for a while.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
