Suggest Treatment For Persistent Fatigue And Chest Pain

Hi Dr. I m a 36 year old male ,besides allergies and asthma I ve been ok for the most part. In July I started feeling very tired, fatigued and with flu like symptoms but no fever or cough, also developed a pain in my chest, pelvic floor,Abdomen and General torso area. I ve gone to a centra care, primary physician and ER with little success, I m on antibiotics for the third time as the ER claims there is intestinal inflammation with a possible infection as per CAT scan...blood work twice ,urin twice ,chest X-ray and a referral to the GI but no one can tell me why I m fatigued and sore. Nothing has gotten better with the medication .

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your description, I am of the opinion that you might be suffering from fibromyalgia. You should have blood work done for this. Cortisone injection or prednisolone tablets are useful in case of fibromyalgia.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ashish Ranjan, General & Family Physician
