Suggest Treatment For Persistent Fatigue And Dizziness
What can cause extreme tiredness with dizzeness upon getting up standing up.I recently was diagnoised with colitious could this attribute to this. Also Iam scheduled to see a heart clinic as on my last doctors visit a ekg apparently shows some sort of irregular heart beats.
Colitis can contribute to your dizziness on standing if it is severe and there is a decrease in how much you are eating and drinking. The irregular heart beats can also be playing a role. The heart beat affects the blood supply to the brain. An abnormal heart beat would therefore affect this blood supply which in turn can cause dizziness.
If it continues, then you may want to consider seeing your GP for an assessment which should include physical examination, and blood pressure check. Investigations may not be needed.
I hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Michelle Gibson James

The heart beat affects the blood supply to the brain. An abnormal heart beat would therefore affect this blood supply which in turn can cause dizziness. Other causes would be: (1) orthostatic hypotension which is a decrease in blood pressure on standing - heart disease, dehydration are two causes of this condition (2) disease of the inner ear (3) side effect of medication If it continues, then you may want to consider seeing your GP for an assessment which should include physical examination, and blood pressure check.
