Suggest Treatment For Persistent Headache And Migraine
I have a bad headache that has been on going nearly two days, its worse today, the worse part is the throbbing sensation when I stand up, sit and walk about, when I am laid down it is bearable. The emergency doctors just but it down to migraine but this doesn t seem to present as a migraine. My female members of my family have a history of strokes, I have had low ferritin but also have had lower back problems. I am quite worried there is something sinister on going here as despite taking naproxyn and co codamol the pain is still ever present. Please advise I am feeling shocking
1. Since there is history of stroke thus check your blood pressure, which might be the cause.
2. Since headache is persistent, ask for CT scan head and Neurologist opinion.
3. If the examination and investigations come out normal then follow the line of migraine: . Avoid factor which precipitate attacks: sleeping late, tension, starvation, chocolate, tomato, cheese, alcohol. . Combine anti migraine medication with anti depressant.
