Suggest Treatment For Persistent Headache

Hey I ve had a head ache for over a week on the right side of my head and the doctors gave me some muscle relaxers and pain meds and still awaiting blood results. I took a shot for migraine they prescribed me and it felt like my back of head was on fire and I felt air bubbles popping back my head. It took edge of pain but my back head feels heavy and neck hurts and back head randomly hurts but not as intense. She wants me to go to the ER but I m not sure if I should go or if it s stress related

Hi,

You are having a severe degree of pain. The pain due to depression is not that much severity. You need to measure your blood pressure as well. Based on the mentioned symptoms it seems to be a migraine headache.

For that rizatriptan can be prescribed. If no improvement and pain worsen than detailed evaluation needed like that of CT scan. So you can visit ER as advised by your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
