Suggest Treatment For Persistent High Blood Sugar Levels

My sugar has been very high for months now. It was high but now its worse and the meds im on dont seem to bring it down. This afternoon it was 514. My pcp has been trying to help me get my numbers down but has sugested that I need to see an endocronologist now. Im trying to find a doctor. But what I wanted to know was if it stays high like this for weeks or months what would that do to my body.

I understand your concern.
High levels of Blood Glucose levels like in your case are not good for body. As a whole if i say High Glucose levels affect almost each and every part of ones body.
But here i would suggest you not to panic because your sugar levels will surely come down to normal if you get right treatment from Endocrinologist.
Some times to bring high blood glucose levels to normal, one need to get stared on Insulin Therapy.
You without any delay consult a endocrinologist and you glucose levels will surely come down to normal. till then avoid direct sugar and oily stuff in food and do include at least 30 minutes of leasure walking in your daily routine. It will help you.
