Suggest Treatment For Persistent Hip Pain

I have a crushing pain in my hip when I reach down to pick up something. It doesn t hurt as much if I bend at the waist and slowly reach down. I also have to bend way over at the waist to get up from a chair or I also feel the terrible pain It also happens when I twist to the side. I have never felt such intense pain. I have a very high threshold for pain. It started a few days ago. Do you know what it could be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The intense pain of this severity can be from acute muscle spasm, compression of underlying nerve structure or some joint space-related issues which can flare up in particular movements.

An examination with ortho and precise management is suggested.

At present relief with the application of heating pad, local analgesic spray and analgesic as Tramadol Hydrochloride if no history of drug sensitivity.

Avoidance of particular movements which are raising the pain should be strictly avoided.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel,
