Suggest Treatment For Persistent Hot Flashes While On Birth Control

Hi. I am 36 and have had non stop hot flashes, Ridiculously worse at night, have a merna iud & an about to exchange it for a new one since it the end of my 5 year one. I have been extremely emotional. From high to low for a month & eat healthy & exercise. I am 5 7 & 140lbs. I have been forgetful as well. I m wondering if this has anything coralation with the end of my iud. Also I do not get regular periods & would go from spotting sometimes to needling & now it s stopped. I do get some serious craps as well. I have seen & talked with my gyno. There recommendation was to stay off gluten and dairy which I did and it made me physically sick so now I am back on them and feel much better. Any suggestions?? Paulina

Hello,

It is due to the hormonal changes associated with contraceptive pills. If symptoms persist to consult a gynaecologist and consider progesterone only pills.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
