Hi Thanks for posting your query on HCM The treatment of persistent irregular periods depends on the cause and your desire to have children in future. It is mostly caused by changes in your body's hormone levels(estrogen and progesterone). This is common in young girls going through puberty and women approaching menopause.Other causes of this problem may include changing birth control pills, polycystic ovarian syndrome, excessive exercise, stress, uterine fibroids, hyperactive thyroid and others. The treatment of this condition depends on the underlying cause. However, irregular menstrual cycle is often due to a lack or imbalance in certain hormones.Oral contraceptive pills containing estrogen and progesterone are always prescribed and they do produce good results.I will advise you take your pills as prescribed and avoid stress, excessive physical exercise and eat well and balanced. Hope my answer will help you Best regards
