Suggest Treatment For Persistent Lightheadedness And Headaches

I have been having a problem with being lightheaded for a long time now. Sometimes it is very severe and other times quite light. Some times accompanied by a headache. At first it seemed to be related to being anemic. but for some time now my blood count has not dropped too low. I have congestive heart failure and have had a quadruple bypass with pacemaker and defibrulizer. That was quite a while before these symtoms started. I have gone to many doctors over the past 3 years but no one seems to know what is wrong.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I would recommend you to have a general check-up with the following tests and examinations:
- CBC and ERS, TSH and FT4, basic metabolic profile (lipids, sugar levels, creatinine and electrolytes, ALT, AST and Bilirubin).
- Heart ultrasound and chest x-ray.

If all the tests and examinations come out normal while you have the symptoms then very likely they are related to stress and anxiety so you may talk with your doctor and consider treatment for these disorders.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
