Suggest Treatment For Persistent Pain At The Back Of The Neck
At the top of my back/bottom of the neck, I have a constant pain that is hot or cold in the sensation. It seems in the very top middle of the back (top of spine). I do not recall any recent trauma to this area. Massage gives a very brief relief. It has not gotten better in over 8 weeks (but not worse either). It does not seem to affect range of motion, but is constant. I am 64 years of age, and work behind a computer 4-5 hours a day
Hello, Taking in consideration your complaints, the cause may be muscle spasm. You may take some anti inflamatory and muscle relaxant drugs for 10 days. Meanwhile you should have some sessionsnof physical therapy to strengthen your muscles and correct your posture. Best regards Anisa
