Suggest Treatment For Persistent Pain In Foot After Injury

I accidentally kicked my concrete stairs which hurt pretty bad. It has been 2 months and my foot still hurts. My three middle toes had been hurting. Then this morning I tried on some heels and it hurt to much to wear them but the pain this time was more at the ball of my same foot. I touched this area and it is swollen. I hadnt noticed this before. My foot has been hurting all day. Should I be concerned?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms are suggestive of local inflammation. I recommend taking Naproxen and putting some ice packs on the swollen region. It is important to avoid heels for a month and have some rest for some days. If the problem persists, I would recommend performing a foot X-ray study.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
