Suggest Treatment For Persistent Pain In Knee, Thigh And Hip

hi I have got knee pain and I can feel it in my leg and the right side of my hip its painful every day and gets worse if I do a lot of walking which I do a lot. When I sit down for a while and then get up its very painful and can take me a while to get going . Its keeping me awake at night every night I wake up cant get comfortable. I went out on a walk with my dad yesterday and my knee was ok at first then hurt more and more. I had a warm shower and I rested and I struggled to get going for a bit. The pain is on the outside of my knee and I can feel pain up my thigh and hip. I can feel it in my leg when I am sat down.

Ayurveda Specialist 's  Response
Hi,

The following is my opinion:
1. Consult an orthopedic surgeon regarding hip discomfort or pain since it could be because of hip osteoarthritis, AVN [avascular necrosis], DVT [deep vein thrombosis], PVD [peripheral vascular disorder], or simply because of cramps in the calf [due to diabetes, calcium/salt deficiency]
2. Rule out other causes of knee pain like tuberculosis, ask for Hb%, WBC, ESR, RA test, X-ray Knee - AP and Lateral.

PS. The symptoms have to be carefully assessed by your doctor to ensure whether it requires immediate medical attention or long-term therapy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
