Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I don t read how much this can cost. I don t have a lot of extra money. I only have a few dollarsI I believe I broke my pinky toe. My husband says it should have already healed. Perhaps it s frostbite. It s been 4 months. I think it s taking so long because I don t rest like I should. I can send a picture if needed. I would appreciate it if this could be a pro bono case. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Donna Rae Smith
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
The symptoms you are experiencing is unlikely to be frostbite. Because frostbite that causes such prolonged pain will result in changes in superficial skin too. An underlying fracture can be identified with an X-ray only. Please follow up with urgent care to get an X-ray done. Meanwhile, apply ice, take Advil for pain and use buddy splint to stabilize the toe.
Regards,
Dr. Lekshmi
