Suggest Treatment For Persistent Rashes On The Face

My daughter has a rash on her face, a lot around her mouth. It is also on her hands . 5 days now. The doctor thought it was hand/mouth but said it wasn't. Her face had the rash and now looks like wind burned. Her hands look like rash. She is 23.
Thoughts?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that redness and burn like apearrence around the lips, it seems to be due to Perioral Dermatitis..
It can be caused due to disturbances in microbial flora over the skin, bacterial infection,nasal and topical steroids, flouridated toothpastes, harsh chemical cosmetics, poor facial hygiene, hormonal imbalances etc..
I would suggest you to consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and he can do a thorough clinical evaluation and advise you to apply topically ointments containing Doxycycline, Metronidazole..
You can also be advised oral intake of erythromycin..
Ointments containing Azaelic acid,Pimecrolimus etc can help..
Avoid any skin cosmetic or steroid ointments..
Avoid excess sun exposure, use gel based sunscreen lotion..
