Suggest Treatment For Persistent Sickness Despite Being On Augmentin
I have been sick for two weeks. Dr put me on augmentin 875 mg twice a day. Symptoms are not improving. I have had night sweats last three days to the point of soaking bed through at least twice. Shortness of breath and fatigue whenever I get out of bed. X-ray came back clear. Dr said it will pass on its own but it seems to be getting worse. What could it be?

Night sweats can be because of evening rise in temperature
a blood culture and sensitivity test should be done along with urine culture and sensitivity test.If not relieved by augmention it cn be pyrexia of unknown origin also.
so in that cse antibiotics like tazobactam ,piperaccillin will be injected i.v
a complete blood check up including cbc, kft ,widal,tb gold,elisa, hbsag,hcv, urine rn m, blood r n m should be done to find out the source of infection
