Suggest Treatment For Persistent Soreness On The Lips

I have had tingling, sore lips for over three weeks. I have not had any canker sores appear. I have never had a get canker sore. The only time my lips felt like this was when I ate fresh pineapple over 10 years ago. I have not eaten fresh pineapple since then. It is uncomfortable to eat and when I am not eating the pain is a burning feeling.

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

Tingling and soreness of lips with soreness and burning on eating can be due to allergic reaction only leading to inflammation inside mouth also causing Stomatitis..

So my suggestion is to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a clinical examination can be done..

For now you can start gargling with 1:1 solution of milk of magnesia and benadryl..
You can also gargle with specialised mouthwash like Magic Mouthwash as it will help in reducing pain and inflammation..
Take Vitamin B complex supplements..
Do cool water rinses..
Take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen and do warm saline gargles..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
