General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi Harini,

I am sorry for the situation you are going through.

Ear infection is commonly associated with viral infection. However, in some cases, unfortunately, it can change to bacterial infection with pus.

In such cases, it is recommended a high dose of antibiotics orally or parentally, together with ear drops (containing a mixed antibiotic solution).
A culture of ear pus is recommended to determine the right antibiotic to use.

Wish fast recovery!
