Hello and welcome to HCM, Any cosmetic treatment or product can cause a side effect which cannot be predicted before actually taking the treatment. A chemical peel acts by removing the superficial dead skin. The skin looks more youthful and young after using the peel. But if you are observing that the peel has not worked and you are not able to find the desired effect, you should consult your cosmetologist. And if you are observing some ill-effect of the treatment, you can discontinue its use till you consult your doctor.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
