Suggest Treatment For Pigmented Purpura?

Hi I have broken out with a rash and have had this since March I went to my doctor and they prescribed predisnone twice and it came back so I went to a dermatologist and they did a biopsie and they told me I have pigmented purpura. So the doctor told me to stop taking the aspirin, which I did and it started to clear up. A couple days ago I had a vegetarian pizza and it had tomatoes on it and I started to break out again on my hands and especially my left arm and my stomach. So I am not eating any more tomatoes

Hello,

As per your case history of pigmented purpuric dermatosis, my treatment advice:

1. Avoid standing for long periods of time and keep pillows below legs while sleeping.
2. Apply a calcium dobisilate cream like Osil cream twice a day.
3. Take a vitamin C supplement, once daily for 3 months.

If the problem persists, then consult a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
