Suggest Treatment For Pimple Breakouts On Scalp And Face

My 11 year old son is breaking out with pimples all around his hair line on his face. We have been to the dermatologist and he has given us cream to put on the areas. However, I am wondering if his shampoo might have something to do with the breakouts as well? I am using Garnier Fructis Pure Clean which is a dye free shampoo. I thought it was pretty safe. Your thoughts? Please help!

pimple breakouts on the scalp and face can be because of dandruff,or dry scalp too.You need to check out whether the shampoo being used is harsh on your child's scalp.

Pimple breakouts especially on the forehead may be caused primarily due to dandruff on the scalp. Dandruff causes flaky skin on the scalp and these dry skin flakes can clog the pores on the face and body leading to pimples.Dandruff appears when the scalp is too oily or too dry.However pimple breakouts are more during the teenage days.Here in this case,I would recommend you to check whether the shampoo is causing the dryness of the scalp,and thereby leading to pimples.If that's the reason,then you should opt for a milder shampoo,and maintain scalp hygiene by washing his hair at least thrice a week.You need to continue the creams prescribed by the dermatologist for application over the pimples.He needs to take care of his diet as well,less oily and no junk foods,more fruits.Drink lots of water.
