Suggest Treatment For Pimple-like Blisters On The Body
I have had this Condition which I thought was scabies. I ve been to my family dr and a dermatologist who don t think it is s abides. It comes in a few different forms....pimple type blisters, or a red point with a red line or two lines side by side about to 2 inches long, or a tiny red dot....all of which are extremely itchy. I have applied KWELLDA permethrine 5% two days in a row, washed all linens and towels, vacuumed the bed, all floors and furniture but this continues. I m going crazy and an at my wit s end. Can you help me?
The symptoms seem to be related to scabies. I suggest using Cetirizine 10 mg daily to relieve the itching. The 2 most widely used treatments for scabies are permethrin cream and malathion lotion ( Derbac M).
Both medications contain insecticides that kill the scabies mite. Permethrin 5% cream is usually recommended as the first treatment. Based on the fact that Permethrin 5% was not effective I suggest to use Malathion 0.5% lotion.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
