Suggest Treatment For Pimple Near Lips

i had a blackhead looking pimple near to my lip for months. I decided to pop it out few weeks back but couldnt do it properly so left it .It looked a bit red with a hole in a centre. Now after few weeks,its swollen red and is paining.how to treat it now?

Thanks for the query..

As per your complain and presentation of symptoms a pimple like bump can be due to a few common reasons like acne, cold sore [viral infection], or bacterial infection.
As you tried to pop it there might be inflammation in that area and a secondary bacterial infection can lead to redness and pain..

Nothing to worry, consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and treatment will depend upon confirmatory diagnosis..

As of now apply a steroid based ointment like 2.5% Hydrocortisone ointment for reducing inflammation and pain..
Do cold compresses over it.
Take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen for reducing pain and inflammation..
