Suggest Treatment For Pimple On The Scrotum

I have noticed a pimple-like bump on my scrotum, sort of high up near the pelvis. It was first noticed about 4 days ago and was sore as it rubs against my thigh. Today I noticed a discharge on my underwear and now see that the pimple has opened and is weeping. It is like a small hard bump with a head that is now open and weeping.

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Based on your description, it appears that you could be having 'furuncle' (boil) or infected sebeceous cyst of the scrotum. It appears that the lesion has bursted out and pus is coming out of it.
Kindly do the following to overcome it.
1. Cleanse the area with antiseptic solution like Povidine-Iodine twice daily.
2. Apply Neomycin cream over the lesion as a thin layer.
3. Take antiinflammatory medication Tablet.Ibuprofen twice daily after food.
4. Wear loose fitting undergarments to avoid friction in the area.
The lesion should subside completely in about a week. In case the hard lump still persists, it may be sebeceous cyst and requires excision by means of a minor surgical procedure. In that case, kindly consult Surgeon for evaluation and management.
