Suggest Treatment For Pimples On Buttocks And Bumps On The Vagina

I have bumps on my bum. They aren t really like pimples but they do pop. I ve tried wearing strictly cotton underwear, changing my detergent and using certain lotion and oils. Nothing seems to be working. I even saw a dermatologist and they prescribed me a steroid cream and that did nothing. Sometimes the bumps even lead up to the lips of my vagina. I ve changed my body wash numerous times as well...nothing. I also notice a brown tint to the inside of my butt also leading towards my vagina. I can t even wear a bathing suit or be sexy for my boyfriend because I m afraid he ll see. Please help me

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to folliculitis which is an infection of the hair follicles. I suggest using hydrogen peroxide to clean the bumps and a Neosporin cream for local application. You can also use the steroid cream to relieve the inflammation. I suggest to use breathable clothes.

Hope my answer was helpful. If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
