Hello I ve been having vaginal itching for almost a week now. I inspected my vagina only to observe small wart feeling pimples on my cltoris and one near the opening area of my vaginal. Not only is it itchy but it is also very painful when touched. How can I get rid of these pimples? Your help would surely be appreciated

Hello,

For relief you can apply hydrocortisone ointment. Neosporin & soframycin ointment are also effective. Take care of your hygiene, do not scratch. Wear loose fitting cotton clothes. However, your symptoms are indicative that the bumps/pimples are either genital warts or herpes.

You have not mentioned whether you are sexually active or not. You are suggested to visit a gynecologist, get clinically examined. get STD tests done at the earliest so that you can be treated before the symptoms worsen. You may need antibiotics & antivirals.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
