Suggest Treatment For Pimples With Pus On The Back Of Head

I recently took a visit to the barbershop to get a haircut. The name of the haircut is a bald fade , dark hair in the top and very low in the back of the head. After the haircut I washed with shampoo. The next day I worked out at the gym, using the provided towels to keep my head from getting an infection of any kind. Well a few hours after my gym visit, I had a wide rash (raised) in the back of my head. I quickly washed my head, wiped rubbing alcohol on the spot, treated it with Cortosone 10 and took two Aleve. The next morning the rash was gone but now I have a section of small pimples with puss inside. What do you think I can do to get rid of these pimples?

Hi,

Is there any itching? If the rash appeared soon after cut, and is associated with itching, this suggests allergic reaction to the blade or lotion, and pus (yellow) filled pimples may suggest added secondary infection. Presence of infection demands antibiotic treatment; otherwise this will respond to an antihistamine and topical steroid cream. Kindly get discuss with your doctor or get back to us with a picture.
