Suggest Treatment For Pinched Nerve In The Back And Leg

I am currently suffering from TMJ, pinched nerves in my back/leg due to scoliosis, and I have a cold. I have saint medical treatment for everything but the cold and am working with my docs to fix these issues. Over the last few days I have been experiencing an earache in my left ear (same side as the TMJ) that is worse after sleeping/lying down. Is this related to the TMJ or the cold or could there be another issue?

Hi,

Pinched nerve in the back and the leg can be treated either by medications (NSAIDS-Ibuprofen/Naproxen, oral corticosteroid or steroid injections), Physical therapy (splint) or surgery depending upon the severity of the problem.

Earache that you are experiencing can be due TMJ. TMJ causes earache, headache, dizziness, tinnitus & hearing loss if left untreated. Cold & Infections can trigger earache. Warm compress in the area affected is effective but get physically examined & treated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K,
