Suggest Treatment For Pinched Nerve Pain In Leg

I have pinched nerves affecting my legs. I applied a blue gel ice pack to my skin. When it became room temp, I applied another gel ice pack. Later, I saw blisters, about five, appear and area was very sore. I don t know if burn was caused by the ice pack or if one leaked. This is my 7th day and area is very sore. I ve been using hydrogen peroxide and using polysporin and wrapping in gauze. This morning I pulled off the gauze and it stuck to an open blister. What should I do?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pinched nerve pain in leg along with blisters on applying ice pack . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like allergic reaction , infection or burn . I would suggest you to atop applying any kind of gel or other cream and ice to affected area , cream the area with betadine , take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and take benadryl twice a day . Consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor will examine properly and may prescribe immunosuppressants along with anti inflammatory or anti allergic . Also consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination of pinched nerve . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant and recommend physical therapy or stretching exercises .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
