Hi, i have had pityriasis rocea for about 2 months now. It started with a herald patch on my scalp, and then expanded to having red, itchy spots all over my torso, back, legs and arms. the redness has cleared but now all of the spots have lost pigment and have turned white. i ve been getting a moderate amount of sun to try and even them out but no colour seems to be resurfacing. is the pigment going to return?
Pityriasis rosea tends to heal with some altered pigmentation in most people . You need not worry since it is the normal course of this disease . The pigment tends to return in sometime . Just keep the affected area moisturised . The pigment will slowly return to normal .
