Suggest Treatment For Plantar Fasciitis

I have been experiencing foot-heal pain. It started on my left foot and now my right foot is howling. I ve been wearing support-style sandals and icing the arch of my foot but the discomfort is not going away. I take warfin for Factor V so I m not comfortable taking any pain medication. What would be the best way to tame the plantar fasciitis and how long does this generally last?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I suggest you use anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen three times a day. I also suggest you apply ice in the area and use comfortable shoes for relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
