Hello dear Greetings
Regarding your symptoms of severe hacking cough with diagnosed pneumonia I am suggesting you can go ahead do your CT scan but on a broader clinical picture I would prefer chest x-ray
In view of this please take some antibiotics and hematinics pending the outcome of the result
I hope this helps
Regards and get well soonest
