Suggest Treatment For Polycythemia Vera

Iam54years old, 176 cms tall and 64 kg weight. I am a polycythemia veera patient on asprin. I had a cvt in1996 and heart attack in2002. I am on asprin anticoagulantslike warfarin cardivas and beta blockers. I also take hydroxyuria500 mg per day to control platelet increase . Pl advise

Hi, dear. I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You have polycythemia vera. Aspirin is useful to prevent block in blood vessels. Periodically phlebotomy is useful. Hydroxyurea is drug of choice. Permanent treatment is bone marrow transplantation. Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.
