Suggest Treatment For Poor Vision In Eye

Hi

I have had herpes simple eye infection for the past 5 years in my right eye alone. Although it is in dormant state now, i have very poor vision in my right eye. Cant read at all and it is pulling my confidence levels to the drain working as a network engineer and always before my laptop. Is there a permanent cure for this? Can a laser treatment help. I am yet to get married and this is my biggest worry now as i cant face bright light, have trouble driving due to this.Eye lids swell on strain and less sleep.I was on acciclovir but i stopped it before 2 years when my virus became dormant.
