Suggest Treatment For Positive HbsAg In Test

hello doctor i am 23 yrs old girl and is hbsag +ve. Value observed of hbsag test is 11.3. I also have ultrasonic test and found no harm to my liver till now.

what should be treatment for this.... in my family my brother and mother were also infected..... Is this sexually transmited disease?

Hi welcome to the health care magic

You are hbsag carrier as per history

You have to do regular follow up to the physician and repeat liver enzymes testing with every four to six month

Before labelling you as carrier repeat hbsag testing after six month, if positive than you will be life time carrier

No active treatment needed just now

If your carrier state confirmed after six month than viral load HBV DNA done along with hbsag estimation and if found in active stage than only antiviral medication needed

This infection Spread sexually as well as through secretions

Take care

Consult physician for examination and regular follow up
