Thanks for your question on HCM.
Bronchi provocation test is done to rule out allergy to inhaled substance like dust,pollens,chemicals,animal fur etc.
So if person is susceptible to allergy with any of these, then on inhalation of these substances, his FEV1 starts decreasing,which in turn suggest bronchospasm and asthma.
So positive test means, you are having allergy to that substance and your bronchi are constricting on its exposure.
So treatment of this is
1. Avoidance of provocating substance.
2. Inhaled bronchodilator.
3. Oral antihistamines etc.
