Suggest Treatment For Post Nasal Drip And Sore Throat

I thought I was having sinus problems due to pollen. Had post nasal drip and sore throat. Used flonase, vicks, Alavert. Was winning that battle. Now have had a cough, not too deep, but cough until I spit up a white slug. Changed laundry detergent but that doesn t seem to be the cause. Others who have had it say it lasts a couple of months. help

Hi,

Noted your history of about allergic problems causing nasal drip, sore throat and now deep cough causing white slug, Flonase, Vicks and Alavert helped but coughing started, thinks of sinus issues.
If the problem persists in spite of so many medications then the obvious cause has to be found out as well as its sequel and complications.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Consult an ENT Surgeon as you a proper clinical evaluation of the problems, have proper ENT Endoscopy and investigation:
Tests of blood for CBC, eosinophilia, IgE for allergy and sugar.
CT scan of nose and sinuses. This is very important as it can help to know what exactly is going on inside the sinuses and whether you need oral steroids or surgery.
Also go for the blood tests for vitamins like that of A and D as therapeutic management of deficiency helps to develop the immunity.
Continue local Flonase spray.
Try to identify the factors, foods, atmospheric factors and so on to get the exact cause and avoid these altogether.
Rest of the treatment as per the opinion of ENT Surgeon.
