Dear Doctor, I am suffering from the post nasal drainage from last four years. Sometimes it stops temporarily or subsdies, now from last five days it has elevated, it causes irritation in throat and followed by mild and intense cough. It reaches the peak after taking meals. Pl suggest some remedy.
Thanks, Manjit Singh, Ropar Punjab Cell no 0000.
I have gone through your query and can understand..
As per your complain Post Nasal Drip can occur due to a number of causes like Sinusitis, acid reflux, chronic upper respiratory tract infection, allergies etc.. I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation land investigations as per the cause suspected can help in ruling out the exact cause and treatment can be planned accordingly.. As of now you can do steam inhalations, warm saline gargles, take decongestants like Phenylephrine and mucolytics like Bromohexine for relief..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
