Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Well, from your description, it appears that you are having 'premature ejaculation'. But this more of psychological problem than physical illness.
Hence, before going in for medications, it is recommended to try 'behavioral therapy'. in about 80% of men of your age, this works. You can practice 'pause-squeeze technique' and look for improvement in holding time by about 3 to 6 months. If your confidence increases, you can continue to do so without any medication.
Otherwise, try to add medication along with behavioral therapy. You can use local
anesthetic cream or sprays, which would decrease the sensations and allows you to hold longer. Also you can take selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) drugs such as
sertraline or
paroxetine or
fluoxetine (Prozac,
Sarafem) to delay the release time.
Counseling also to helps when it's used in combination with behavioral and drug therapy.
Hope the information provided is useful to you. All the best.
