Suggest Treatment For Presence Of Blood Clot In The Lung

My husband just got out of hospital after having a blood clot in his lung. They have prescribed xarelto which is cost prohibitive. What other options are there and which have the least amount of adverse side effects. My husband also suffered a stroke about 7 yrs ago and was on aggrenox until he had unusual bleeding across his back dr took him off and put him on baby aspirin. His stroke was not arterial but was from smoking and so he had brain bleed in blood vessels in his brain

Hello,

He may be suffering from pulmonary embolism.
He may can use Warfarin.
It is cheaper but it may need PT INR monitoring at least weekly once.
Along with that you may consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.
