Suggest Treatment For Presence Of Ketones In Urine During Pregnancy

Yes, please.....I am about to be 41 years old this coming Sunday, 5/22, and have been a Type 1 Diabetic since I was 12 years old. I JUST found out I am 5 to 8 weeks pregnant - FIRST pregnancy!!! The ER doctor told me that even though my BG Levels were low (58mg/dL) during my ER visit, I also had ketones present in my urine. Is this something I need to get rid of, and, if so, how safely?

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Ketones in urine can be present due to starvation or uncontrolled diabetes mellitus.
Since your blood sugar levels were low, the cause for ketosis in Your case is starvation. You should keep yourself well fed to avoid this.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
