Suggest Treatment For Pressure In Right Ear

I ve had pressure in my right ear since mid August and sometimes the ear hurts. I ve been slightly off with balance and can t seem to think as clearly as usual. I ve developed ringing in my ears that has not stopped for at least 6 weeks. I ve been on 3 rounds of antibiotics, steroids, nasal spray, had a brain MRI, and had 2 wisdom teeth pulled...1 on top, 1 on bottom. I ve seen my family doctor several times, an ENT twice, my dentist, and an oral surgeon. So far, nothing seems to be wrong with me except slight high pitch hearing loss. My mother died from parotid cancer so my ENT has suggested I get an MRI of the soft tissue and glands in my neck. Do you think I need this test and do have any idea what is causing my symptoms?

Brief answer
Meniere's disease

Detailed answer

Hi, Looking at your history and symptoms only in right ear it seems that you might be having Meniere's Disease. spontaneous episodes of vertigo (a sensation of a spinning motion), hearing loss, ringing in the ear (tinnitus), and a feeling of fullness or pressure in your ear.

if i were your treating doctor i would have advised you battery of test and diagnosis can be confirmed by ruling out other causes of such illness like
1.detailed physical examination
2.test for vertigo like rotatory chair test, videonystagmography and vestibular evoked myogenic potential test
certain life style can help you like
1. Sit or lie down immediately when you feel dizzy
2. Be aware of the possibility of losing your balance
3. Avoid driving a car or operating heavy machinery
4. Rest during and after attacks
5. salt restriction in diet

hope this helps you
