Suggest Treatment For Pressure Sensation In Ears And Runny Nose
Hi, I went with a plain abroad and felt terribly: Pressure in the ears, runny nose, painful respiration, ... I don't think I had a cold beforehand. The pressure in the ears and the runny nose disappeared after a couple of hours. But the painful respiration stays. Even if I breath through my nose, a part of my upperchest (I think the region of my larynx) hurts. I feel also that the pain increases with activities (singing, walking, drinking, ...) and by bending forward. Greetings from Belgium.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have you have pressure sensation in ears and runny nose which seems to be due to viral infection that has spread from upper respiratory tract to ear through eustachian tube leading to dysfunction. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist once for proper examination. Doctor may order throat swab test, examination of ear with otoscope and CT scan to rule out ear wax buildup. Do warm saline gargles and take proper course of antibiotics along with antiinflammatory medications. Apply dry warm compresses to external ear and drink hot green tea twice.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
