Suggest Treatment For Prolonged Vaginal Bleeding Caused After A Medical Abortion

hi doctor. i had a medical abortion around 2 months back. i had prolonged period after that. the doctor asked me to start with femilon to regulate the period, i am bleeding since 14 days on femilon. i dont want to continue with this, i feel i m bleeding because of the tablet.

Understand your concern
Femilon does not cause prolong bleeding for 14 days after abortion.
Continuous bleeding for long time is not normal.
As a treating doctor I think following possibility:
Incomplete abortion/Retain product:
Sometime medical abortion fails to abort the pregnancy result in retain product that bleeds for long time. Should be diagnosed by USG scan.
Treatment is D & C.
Vaginal/Pelvic infections: Retain product of pregnancy increased the risk of infections. Should be diagnosed by CBC, urine report, USG scan.
Treatment is proper antibiotic.
So report to gynecologist and take proper treatment after investigations.
