Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I seem to have a protruding left collar bone that I cannot quite explain. It simply sticks out of my chest in a very noticeable way. I do have two posture issues, however. I have internally rotated shoulders as well as hyper-lordosis along with anterior pelvic tilt. The left collar bone only seems to protrude when I pull my shoulders back. So far my guess is that my collar bone became used to being compressed by my shoulders, yet my right collar bone does not share the same issue. Any help and/or insight will be greatly appreciated as I am trying to correct my posture and get into sports. Thank you.
The issue seems to be congenital defect of bone mineralisation, antero posterior axis alignment or else. There are various corrective surgeries available for the same and an insight with the MRI details of the bones and its orientation are vital parameters to be evaluated with orthopedic surgeon and plastic surgeon before reconstructive surgery.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
