es, thanks. I had sinus surgery Sept 15, 2014. They were almost completed blocked with polpys. During Aug and Sept I felt dreadful. My quality of life improved markedly after surgery. But pathology revealed a few Pseudomonas aeruginosa .. Ent says they were there before and now all gone. I do saline rinses 3 times a day, but every day since surgery big crusts large yellowish green crusts come out both sides. Mid Jan ENT prescribed combination saline spray and Tobramycin. I m using it now with minimal improvement in that crusts are alittle smaller. I see ENT tomorrow. Can I have infection with the Pseudomonas and not have fever or feel particularly bad? I m been tested and don t have allergic rhinitius. I m 84, with stable heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, AFib, and moderate sleep apnea (since Nov 2011... could CPAP cause the sinus since I have never ever had sinus problem until my 8th decade.) Thanks. BTW you are charging my credit card $15 monthly. Why do I have to pay again to get an answer?
Hi. Thanks for your query and an elucidate history of surgery, the scab formation without fever. This is indicative of atrophic rhinitis. I would advise you the following: Get an opinion of another ENT Surgeon. You need Sodabicarb nasal washes. Antibiotics whenever required.
Please do this regularly and you will be fine
