Suggest Treatment For Purple Discoloration And Swelling In Cervix
Hi I m ttc after miscarry over a month ago I believe I have a yeast infection been going on for about 5 days I took a pic to see what s going on I think I see my cervix and looks like it s grey, blue, purple like a prego one but not sure if that s my cervix I see due to swelling is there a way to send the pic?
* The purple discoloration of cervix with soreness may be part of bacterial or fungal infection of cervix most likely.
My guidelines at present
- take a culture swab report of cervix in sterile container and send it to the lab for microbiology evaluation
- drink more liquids
- keep the area clean with antiseptic liquid or soap
- avoid use of same tampons for a long period of times
- avoid vaginal or anal intercourse if active
- local application of aloe vera gel
- prescription of anti fungal medicines as fluconazole or else prophylaxis antibiotic as cephalexin or fluoroquinolones.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
