General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello.

Acne during puberty is a common issue and should in majority of cases be left alone. As a hormonal surge regularizes it gets better and gradually subsides.

But if you are way past the 25-year old mark then I would recommend a change in lifestyle, sleep behavior, dietary changes (e.g. reduced fatty oily food, avoid spicy and fried food, drink plenty of water, etc.) and the use of a topical cream or ointment containing clindamycin.

Best wishes
