Suggest Treatment For Radiating Pain From Back To Ribs

My husbands back pain is so intense that he can barely walk, or move. The pain comes from holding a sneeze in. It starts from the side of his rib cage and goes around to his mid back. None of the pain meds he has been given by the doctor have helped. Not sure what more I can do.
