Suggest Treatment For Raised Mole With Red Lump On The Knee

My 17 year old son has a cylinder shaped, raised, kind of mole looking, red lump with a hole is the center.. It appeared about 3 weeks ago on the inside of his knee. It has been bleeding on and off, but tonight it was bumped during soccer practiced and started bleeding. The bleeding didn t stop for about 45 minutes. There was a surprising amount of blood.

Hello, my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern.
Some advices that I can give to you are :
-Do not squeeze, scratch, drain, open (lance), or puncture the lump.
-Keep the area clean by washing the lump and surrounding skin well with an antibacterial soap.
-Apply warm, wet washcloths to the lump for 20 to 30 minutes, 3 to 4 times a day.
Hope my answer was helpful, if you have any other questions I'll be glad to help, thanks!
